TODO.txt:

TODO

Features considered for v1.2:
* Default company contact information, so if the component is used by a single company, the contact info need not be entered for each listing (temporary fix until company and contact info has been separated)
* add/edit job status options
* add/edit job types
* add/edit states
* Ability to email the job to someone
* Printer friendly PDF option
* Toggle the apply for job off/on - per job

Features considered for v1.3:
* Company info separated from job
* Contact info separated from job
* Add support for MX Category if it is installed, otherwise use standard Categories
* Start and Expiration date for job postings.
* More advanced search form, which remembers previous search automagically. (Search fields: job status, job type, job location, date range posted etc.)
* Filter to easily show only one type of jobs (possibly hook into the search results)

Features considered for v2.0:
* More advanced, and easy to use, system for customized fields.
* Move as many fields as possible to customized system.
* CV posting
* CV search (with names hidden until OK'd by owner of CV)
* Language file editor.
* Automatic upgrade system.

BUGS
* After publishing several items on the Admin Job Listing, the action icons disappeared.

Things to consider:
* Possibly check for it to work with PHP5.
* Toggle the send email to contact off/on per job
* Possibly an option to set template set according to Mambo template, if a template with the same name exists.

Not necessary anymore because of template system:
* Config option to set size of text fields.
* An optional introductory text block above the job listings

<!--
FILTERS:
select id, title, attribs from mos_jl_jobposting where attribs RLIKE '(^|\n)Population=Popolous(\n|$)';
-->

Possible additions for the future:
* Multiple categories for each job
* Access level system so the admin can set for each user who can post jobs.
* Improve template system so that it won't have to be called once for every list item and remove as much external code as possible.
* Template system should have functions to easily add sets of variable, like config and attribs. e.g. addVars( $array, "config" ) which adds all items in $array and adding "config_" in front of each item.
* Some way to easily extract which fields are available for a specific template, maybe a {mxtshowvalues} mambot that prints everything?
* A function to create a new set of templates (possibly only enter a name, and choose a current template set to copy, to create the new directory with copies of the files from the old template).
* Preview of the template.
* Maybe add a css template as well.
* Maybe a bot to add checks for required fields in forms.
* Move as much PHP code as possible away from jobline.html.php into the appropriate functions in jobline.php.

Feature Requests:

1. to able to toggle the send email to contact off/on per job
2. to toggle the apply for job off/on - per job
3. To has a start date & end date that can be triggered to post the job or remove it? toggle this as well? also should not be permanent date so that the job might be reposted.
- Allow only registered user to post new jobs
- Allow auto-approve of new jobs
- Allow multiple contacts per job
- More configuration settings for changing sender's email name (Currently, the sender is 'Nobody', and my user just delete the email because they think it is spam).

--

- Allow user to create custom job offers templates (like creating a
  form). When creating a job offer, the user would first have to specify
  a template name and this would load the fields he has to fill.

- Allow more flexibility for application (custom application form,
  link to a third party form i.e. ATS)

- Allow configuration a job offers display (list and offer detail)

Modules
- "last X offers" or "hot jobs" (some way to push some ads forward)
- View offers (list of categories + number of offers per category)
  sales (2 offers)
  accounting (3 offers)

--

Add Australian states:

VIC Victoria
NSW New South Wales
SA  South Australia
WA  Western Australia
NT  Northern Teritory
QLD Queensland
TAS Tasmania
ACT Canberra

--

Configurable which fields are required (primarily on the application form).
